Business Start Up

There is a lot to think about when you are starting your own business and it can all feel quite overwhelming.  However, there is support and information available to help you get started.

What you need to do to start the journey depends on your type of business, whether you are going to employ people and if you need business premises.

There are a number of key steps to think about before getting started.

  1. Write a business plan
  2. Choose a business structure
  3. Name the business
  4. Develop branding
  5. Find finance
  6. Get an accountant
  7. Set up premises - this may just be setting up an office at home
  8. Get any equipment that you need - this could simply be a mobile phone and a laptop
  9. Understand business laws and regulations for your business
  10. Think about how you are going to market your product/service
