About

Cheshire Wildlife Trust founded in 1962 is a member of the Wildlife Trust Federation. We work within the historic Cheshire boundaries that now cover Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington, Runcorn, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wirral. Our vision is for a thriving natural world where Cheshire's wildlife and natural habitats play a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies and people are inspired and empowered to act for nature. Cheshire Wildlife Trust helps others and advocates to bring wildlife back. We protect, create and restore natural habitats and support the recovery of species. We empower, inspire and influence others to act for nature. We work towards a future where Cheshire's nature is in recovery with abundant diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder land and seascapes. People are taking action for nature and the climate resulting in better decision making for the environment. Nature is playing a central and valued role in helping to address local and global problems. We believe that actions are required to create conditions that enable nature to recover through systems change. Restore and manage nature, habitats and species to slow the decline. Reduce the threat to nature through behaviour change.
