Survive or Thrive Summit – Fostering An Inclusive Workplace

Event organised by UKSPF delivery partner, University of Chester, as part of the Inclusive Employer Support Project, delivered in partnership with SERKI (University of Chester’s Sustainability and Environment Research and Knowledge Exchange Institute)

The world of business is rapidly changing and business impacts on people, communities, and the planet have never been more important. To thrive, rather than simply survive, businesses need to be a force for good that people want to work for, buy from, and invest in.

Organisations that embrace a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture are more likely to attract and retain the best talent, enjoy the benefits of doing more – and better - business with like-minded customers and suppliers, and have the potential to make significant social impact without compromising profitability.

This interactive summit – co-delivered by Chester Business School and the University of Chester’s Sustainability and Environment Research and Knowledge Exchange Institute (SERKEI) - will bring together inspirational, thought provoking and highly informative speakers drawn from industry and academic experts. It will provide a forum to share ideas and best practice amongst like-minded peers, with opportunities for networking and deeper discussion between delegates. The event will also include a drop in advisory café immediately following the summit for businesses looking for specific support on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion recruitment issues.
