A German-themed axe throwing venue is planning to open its doors in Chester.

Axt haus Ltd has submitted a licensing application to Cheshire West and Chester Council for the new venue, which would be located in the renovated Railway Arches section of Kitchen Street, the other side of the railway bridge from Chester Racecourse.

The company, set up by experienced Chester hospitality sector worker Natasha Scovell and Andrew Benyon, says in the application description: "The venue will be a German-themed axe throwing venue offering a limited food menu and a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks."
