Chester Hospitality People Awards returns for 2025

An awards ceremony celebrating the best of Chester's hospitality industry will be held at Chester Racecourse in June.

The Chester Hospitality People Awards are returning for 2025, to shine a light on the passion, dedication and commitment of those within the city’s thriving hospitality sector.

The event will feature 16 categories, including ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Unsung Hero’, and will recognise customer-facing staff and those working behind the scenes.

Steven Hesketh, chair of Chester Hospitality Association, said: “Amidst the challenges and triumphs of our ever-evolving hospitality landscape, the now third People Awards give us a perfect opportunity to highlight the exceptional individuals and teams who fuel our industry's resilience and innovation whilst raising vital funds for some great charities.

“These awards are not just a recognition, but a celebration of the heart and soul of Chester's hospitality industry and we hope as many businesses as possible will make a nomination and join us in applauding the remarkable people that make Chester's hospitality sector truly exceptional.”

All proceeds raised by the event will be shared with Hospitality Action and Share Aid.

Stephen Ramsden, director of headline sponsor Saffron Vanilla, said: “Last year's event was such a great experience we jumped at the chance to do it again, Chester, Cheshire and the surrounding areas are full of amazing venues from pubs to restaurants, hotels, theatres, cafes, coffee shops, food markets & event stadiums.

Submissions for the awards are welcomed until midnight on Thursday, April 17, and finalists will be announced towards the end of the month.

Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at Chester Racecourse on Thursday, June 26.
