Costa Coffee set to build second drive-thru in Winsford

The international chain of coffee houses has been granted permission to build a drive-thru on the land at the junction of Bostock Road and Road One in Winsford Industrial Estate.

During the consultation period, Winsford Town Council members said they felt there was no need for another shop, given that Costa only recently opened a branch in the town centre.

However, Rula Developments Limited, who submitted the application on behalf of Costa, said the new store would serve ‘a very different market’.

The application adds that the Costa would create around 15 new jobs, with a mix of full and part-time opportunities.

The project also includes a 34-bay car park, including three electric vehicle charging points and two disabled spaces, along with four bicycle storage spaces.
