Local Skills Improvement Plan

We are pleased to inform you that The Pledge have teamed up with the Chambers of Commerce across Cheshire and Warrington to assist them in a new project, called the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). Each region in the country will be completing a LSIP and The Pledge are supporting the production of the Cheshire and Warrington Plan.  The LSIP closely aligns with the work at The Pledge Partnership for Cheshire and Warrington, as it shares the vision of putting you, the employers, at the heart of informing them about what is needed around skills in our area.

The first part of the project is to help capture employer views to ensure the plan best reflects the needs of the local employers. This will allow The Pledge to work with the colleges and providers to put together the apprenticeships, courses and support that is needed by you, the local businesses.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to have your say and be able to shape the support required, you can do this in two ways:

1. Complete a survey - The Pledge are keen to get as many employers to complete this survey, as possible.  They are keen to hear from employers of all sizes, from SMEs to large corporates, who are based in, or have sites within, Cheshire and Warrington.

It takes about 20 minutes to complete, and you can either complete it yourself online or The Pledge can arrange a time to meet together and they can take you through the survey and complete it with you. If you would like to do the latter, then please email The Pledge to arrange a time and they will be happy to assist. They are very happy to meet with you online or in person to help you complete the survey.

2. Be part of a focus group - The Pledge are running a series of five virtual focus groups, lasting for one hour each. Each of the five events will focus on a particular sector. The details are below. Please click link below to register and join The Pledge for the one, or more, that is of most relevant to your business:

Thank you in advance for helping to get your voice heard to help shape the skills support in our local area.
